I have a very rare weekend off (hurrah!) and it’s a Bank Holiday! Woop! I’m quite a casual girl on a day to day basis, I’m all for something easy to throw on! Today’s outfit is no different!

Spring Haul | Featuring Primark and H&M

Yes it’s time for yet another haul! What is wrong with me! Well, on this occasion I was spending vouchers that I’ve had since Christmas, so I think that’s allowed!

I’m pleased with everything I picked up, and hopefully these items will serve me well during SS14.

T shirts White tees are both from H&M, the others are distressed and boyfriend tee’s from Primark. Soft slouchy material is the way forward for me! Matched with a statement necklace makes all the difference.

Pink A line skirt // White blouse A cute outfit I thought. The skirt could also be worn with a crop top, but on me definitely needs heels as the fabric is quite voluptuous so would need heels to balance out any of us with shapely behinds!

Black Maxi Dress // Light Wash Skinnys // Silk Harem Pants The maxi is a simple capped sleeve column dress, really soft material, I will wear this when I’ve been spray tanned as it won’t rub any bits of it off. Light wash skinny jeans are to replace my trusty dark denim and black ones that I’ve lived in all winter! These pants aren’t actual silk but that’s the closest I can say to describe them. Great option for cooler summer nights with a simple black top and flip flops.

Statement necklaces x3 // Embellished head band The top item is the headband, bottom three are necklaces. The silver one is a replacement of one I broke a couple of weeks ago – massive fail – but the others I just thought will be really versatile during the upcoming months.

Hope that hasn’t gone on for two long, I sometimes feel hauls are better as a video, what do you guys think? Have you got any of these items too? I’d love to hear your thoughts and feedback below! xx

What I’m Wearing

Simple post on what I’m wearing today.  It’s my day off from work and I sometimes try to experiment with my makeup a little more as I can usually spend a bit more time on it.  Its these days that I try out new products and if I do like them I will then test them on a full day at work as that gives me a good idea on longevity of a product.

I always go for comfort on a day off, if I actually leave the house I’m usually sporting my A&F Super Skinny Jeans and a slouchy H&M t shirt – I just can’t get enough of them! Today I’ve paired these with my Primark black ankle boots and my faux leather jacket and a plain black pashmina scarf.

Makeup wise I’ve kept it pretty low key on eyes with a super bold red lip.  My all time favourite foundation Clarins Everlasting (review) then just a wash of MAC Paint Pot in Groundwork followed by Benefit They’re Real Mascara on the eyes; Natural Collection Blush in Pink Cloud and Rimmel Apocalips in Big Bang on the lips. It is the brightest glossiest lip product I own I think! This is its first outing so I’m looking forward to comparing it to my other lip products.

Hope you’re all having a good day!

H&M Boots: Head over heels

A short post today showing the love for a most impulse of purchases; these gorgeous H&M shoe boots! I literally saw them and was like: I need those on my feet…now! For £30 I think I’ve had a real bargain!

I wore them last night for my Valentines date with black skinny jeans and a slouchy black sweater. A really simple outfit but I think the boots did the talking!

I’m not going to sit here and say they are comfy – they’re not! – but they do look great! They are higher than they looked when I bought them so definitely not a ‘walking’ ahem, boot. More of a ‘dinner and cocktails sitting down and being chauffeured home’ boot.

They will need some breaking in, as the zip section at the back slightly rubbed my ankle, but what shoes are comfy on first wear! They’re a suede-like material which looks great quality and I love the gold hard wear to just break up the black a little. I really loved wearing them and they’re a great alternative for me as I always wear court shoe type heels for evenings out, but these kind of have a casual edge while still giving me the confidence that heels do!

I’ve never bought shoes or boots from H&M so I was pleasantly surprised when I saw these hiding on a top shelf! I do think they are upping their game in the shoe department though, the store I went in seems to be extending their footwear offerings all the time! Winner!

I’m just wondering how else I could style these boots. I’m not hugely adventurous as I feel so at home with my skinny jeans and blouses or nice sweaters! If you’ve got any suggestions leave them below!

What do you think?

OOTD #1

This is my first outfit of the day! Yay for me! I have wanted to do a few of these but I’m rarely at home when someone can take my picture, so I’ve had to improvise with this and find ways to take my own picture without a timer camera!

The outfit is very much high street, and some/most are items that feature in my haul post from earlier this week. I don’t get chance to do many of these, especially as I spend most of my time in a uniform for work (nothing new about black trousers and a white T-shirt!), but I bought a few things at the weekend and I really wanted to try them out and here is my first attempt! I’ve taken a leaf out of Barbara’s (from The Persian Babe) book and gone for some slightly larger sizes in some items so that I’ve got some oversized jumpers to snuggle in over the winter!

Like I said, I’ve struggled to get a good head-to-toe, but I’m sure you get the idea!

necklace: Topshop

jumper: Primark

jersey (underneath jumper): Primark (it’s actually a long sleeved crop top)

skirt: H&M

tights: Primark

shoe boots: Primark (mentioned here and here)

I hope you liked my first OOTD!

See you all soon!
