Christmas Book Wishlist | The Beauty Spot

It’s past the time of year when people start asking what you’d like for Christmas. Unless Chanel Handbags and Christian Louboutin shoes are acceptable gifts, I had nothin’!

Then, I had a lightbulb moment… Coffee table books! πŸ’‘

I’ve quite often noticed books in the background of blog pictures and YouTube videos and they always look great piled together, but they’re nice to flick through now and again for inspiration.

I’ve put together 5 books I liked the look of and created a Wish List which will be winging its way to my nearest and dearest! πŸ˜‰

Pretty Honest: The Straight Talking Beauty Companion – Sali Hughes I love the cover image, eye catching and clearly one for the girls! I haven’t actually read a lot of Sali Hughes stuff, but everyone loves her, so I should totes get on her bandwagon!

Vogue: The Covers – Hamish Bowles Certainly not a ‘reading’ book. I just wanna look at the pictures, plain and simple.

Chanel: Collections & Creations – Daniel Bott I’m a real Chanel lover and I’m hoping this book will live up to my expectations.

Lauren Conrad Beauty – Lauren Conrad Probably the first beauty book from a ‘new school’ reality star. I love LC’s style and can’t wait to try out some of her hair looks that I’ve heard are in here.

New York Snapshots – Carter Berg Manhattan is a fascinating city and I love seeing little gems that you would generally miss if you don’t know the city well enough, so this one will be great to see those little secret haunts of a local!

What do you think of my choices? Any other recommendations you think I’ll like? Please comment and let me know this list certainly is not exhausted!

I can’t believe its week 3 already! Time is going so quickly!

This week is scent and I really hope you guys enjoy this post as this is going to be my favourite one of the series!

As I’m sure you can tell from the image above, I am quite a high end fragrance lover! I feel that like most things, you get what you pay for in terms of scent. The longevity on the skin, the quality of the ingredients and the overall finish of the scent. I like to wear scents that reflect the mood I may be in, but also the occasion and time of year. Welcome to The Winter Project!

I’m so glad to be taking part in this project and really hope you guys all enjoy reading the posts! Thank you to the gorgeous Kellie for organising this project! Mainly because it’s one post that I don’t have to think about what to write!

First up – winter nail polish!
Due to grooming guidelines in my job, I am only allowed to wear a nude polish or French manicure at work. Meaning, I rarely change nail polish and always stick to the same thing.

TAG: Why do you wear make up? | The Beauty Spot

I saw this as a video on Alix’s YouTube channel (I covet thee) from last year , I like to see where people began with their channels and blogs (yes, because I am nosey!) and came across this. Like the previous tag I did, I haven’t been tagged but I thought it was a pretty good one to do and I’ve had a really busy weekend at work with some late nights and long commutes, so I just wanted to do a pretty simple post so that I didn’t leave it too long before the next one. It’s getting to the busiest time of year for me, work wise, so I will be scheduling some posts so that I don’t get out of the habit of blogging when I’ve only just started! Anyway, on with what this is supposed to be all about…!
